We did it! Another great case break in the books, and this time we raised $150 for a tremendous cause! We pulled 43 total hits, three more than the expected 40, and two variation short prints. Also, I FINALLY pulled my very first ever Jose Abreu auto! Congrats to Ross of Design On Deck for scoring that bad boy!

Of course, there were some downsides to the break. We ran across some damage issues that affected the top card in many of the packs. We also ended up pulling an unusual amount of dupe hits. Pulling even one dupe hit in a full case can sometimes be seen by some as unacceptable.

Other than the few damaged base cards and the dupe hits, it was yet another classic case break made all the better by giving back to such an amazing cause in St. Baldrick’s.

Also, Literal Quirk was back in full force and in rare form! She’s definitely the highlight of any of our breaks! If you haven’t done so yet, I encourage you to check out the replay video of the break if only just for her!

In just under two weeks we’ll be busting up a case of 2015 Bowman. As of this posting, we have just 4 spots + 1 free spot remaining. Get your spots fast! This break WILL sell out!

We’re on! Just head to the 2015 Topps Gypsy Queen Charity case break page to watch and chat!

Can you believe it’s already been just a week since our last break? Now it’s time for our big annual Gypsy Queen charity case break event benefitting St. Baldrick’s, an organization devoted to childhood cancer research! Be here by 7pm Central tonight to join in on the action! A little tuxedo polydactyl told me that Literal Quirk will be here in full force!

What an absolutely incredible break we had on Saturday night! I am so glad you all talked me out of doing just a half case and into doing a full case of Museum. Even though some teams got skunked, each and every person will walk away with at least one hit, which is phenomenal. I pulled my first ever Hank Aaron autograph, I pulled my first ever PC 1/1, we pulled a sick Joey Votto quad patch auto booklet, a Bo Jackson framed auto, and tons more. If you haven’t done so yet, I highly suggest checking out the replay video. Be warned, tho. Pulling that Aaron auto made me swear. A few times. All of the cards were sorted, loaded, and boxed on Saturday night, labeled Sunday, and shipped this morning. Hopefully some of you will start getting your Crackin’ Wax museum packages tomorrow. ALSO… even though it wasn’t a charity break, I still donated $50 OOP to Big Brothers Big Sisters!

The Topps 2015 Gypsy Queen checklist was released on Friday, but I completely missed the tweet. I usually keep my eye out on the Topps checklist page and Gypsy Queen was not added to that until today. Now that I have seen the checklist, I have priced out this week’s Gypsy Queen break and have sent out all invoices. If you think you might be in that break, please be sure to check ALL of your e-mail inboxes (including your junk/spam folders) for your invoice.

The 2015 Bowman (Series 1) checklist DID come out today and I do have that break priced out… HOWEVER… that break is not on sale just yet. Those who have signed up for our Group Breaks Mailing List will be notified first when that break does go on sale. You never know, it could go on sale in 5 minutes, it could go on sale during the Gypsy Queen break. In any case, get signed up to get your spot before someone else swipes it from you! By the way, I will also be giving away one of the spots in the Bowman break, so keep your eyes peeled in the coming days to see how you could end up with an absolutely free spot in the 2015 Bowman case break!

2015 Topps Tribute comes out tomorrow and we’ve got a box on the way to add to the end-of-year Private Break! The only way to get an invitation to the Private Break is to participate in at least one of the four Crackin’ Wax charity case breaks held in 2015—the next being the 2015 Topps Gypsy Queen charity case break. To grab a spot in the Gypsy Queen break and earn an invitation to the Private Break, just head up to the top of the blog, hover over the Crackin’ Wax Case Breaks menu, then click on 2015 Topps Gypsy Queen Charity!
